CHICAGO HEIGHTS, IL — The Illinois lottery said it awarded more than $14 million to winners around the state this week. One of those winners bought a ticket worth $100,000 in Chicago Heights, according to the lottery.
The individual who bought the ticket played the game "Ultimate Millions" and claimed their prize on Sept. 14, according to the lottery. The ticket was sold at a Mobil convenience store, 2802 Chicago Road in Chicago Heights, according to the lottery.
A clerk of nine years told Patch she has never seen anything this large sold at the location, adding "this is the biggest win the station has ever received in my time working here."
Last week, the lottery reported over 546,000 winners across the state, in all lottery jackpot games combined. The largest drawing was $750,000 from the Lucky Day Lotto jackpot, in the Tuesday, Sept. 15 midday drawing. This ticket was sold at BP Midway, 4759 S. Cicero Ave., Chicago, according to the lottery.

Sept. 18 — Triple 7 Max, $100,000, Thornton Gas and Food Market in Galesburg.
Sept. 17 — Full of $500s, $250,000, 7-Eleven in Streamwood.
Sept. 15 — $100 Million Cash Extreme, $500,000, Dry Dock Inn in Darien.
All Illinois residents 18 years or older can purchase a lottery ticket on the Illinois Lottery mobile app, in-store or the Illinois Lottery website. The Illinois lottery was founded in 1974.
