NEW HAVEN, CT — The state Liquor Control Commission fined and suspended a Whalley Avenue package store after saying it violated state law by selling alcohol to a drunk person, according to the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection. The store, located at 355 Whalley Ave., is suspended from selling alcohol for one day, March 8, records show. It also paid a $1,250 fine for the violation, according to the state.
