Darien Releases Gorham's Pond Tide Gate Opening Schedule

DARIEN, CT — The town of Darien has released the Gorham's Pond tide gates flushing and cleaning schedule for spring 2022. According to a news release, the gates will be opened March 14 and closed March 21. Town officials noted tide gates cannot be operated following extensive rain events or a series of very high tides because of the large volume of water flowing over the dam. The opening or closing of gates may be delayed dependent on weather.
