Job Description The Facilities Technician will be responsible for maintaining all properties within our portfolio. Candidate must be able to multitask, have excellent organizational and communication skills. We require low to mid-level computer skills using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Essential Requirements: • Maintains properties interior and exterior, identifies issues and bring them up to management. • Maintains and performs repairs to buildings, utilities, grounds and equipment as requested. • Prioritize and ensure that maintenance requests and repairs are made correctly and in a timely manner. • Works directly under the supervision of the on-site facilities manager. • Proficient in drywall and paint repairs. • Proficient in electrical and plumbing repairs. • Orders/Pickup materials as necessary. • Cleaning/Janitorial work when needed. • Maintain an organized, clean, safe work area, to minimize emergency repairs. Be very flexible with things changing minute to minute in a busy work environment • Maintains positive relationships with all Team Members, tenants & subcontractors. • Supervision of vendors in tenant suites. • Create and maintain job task lists with materials needed to complete each project. • Work directly with subcontractors on some projects including some weekend work. • Provides highest quality of service to the tenants, staff and visitors at the facility. • Prepares daily reports of work completed each day. • Process maintenance tasks in accordance with departmental policies and procedures. • Promotes job site safety, encourages safe work practices, and rectifies job site hazards immediately. • Performs related duties as assigned. Qualifications: • 4-6 years’ experience in the field. • Good driving record, possibility of a company vehicle. • Skilled in field supervision, quality control. • Must be a team player, able to work with limited/No supervision. • Light computer skills including Outlook, Word, Excel. • Excellent oral and written communication skills. • Must be good at quick problem solving, using common knowledge.
