Chicago Heights Women's Center Granted $2.9M In State Funds

CHICAGO HEIGHTS, IL – The state has allocated nearly $6 million in funds for projects and improvements around Chicago Heights. The state has granted $2,900,000 to Aunt Martha's for infrastructure improvements at the Chicago Heights Women's Center. As much as $2,450,000 was appropriated to the city for costs associated with capital improvements. A grant for $80,000 was awarded to the Chicago Heights Park District for playground upgrades and infrastructure improvements. For road resurfacing projects and water pump facility repairs, the village was awarded $185,000. The Chicago Heights School District #163 was granted $25,000 for window and door replacements. The district also received $25,000 for window and door replacement. The Chicago Heights School District #170 was granted $50,000 for costs associated with capital improvements. South Chicago Heights received a $185,000 grant for road resurfacing and water pump facility repairs. The Chicago Heights Park District received $100,000 for park improvements. The Chicago Heights Youth Committee received a $25,000 grant for costs associated with facility improvements.
