1 Dead In Round Lake Beach Stabbing

ROUND LAKE BEACH, IL — A murder investigation is underway after a person was found dead inside a garage in Round Lake Beach Monday afternoon, police said. Authorities believe the stabbing was related to a domestic incident and that there is no threat to the community. Police found the male, who has not yet been identified, dead with several stab wounds at about 3 p.m. Monday at a home in the 2000 block of Apache Trail, according to a news release from the Round Lake Beach Police Department. Prior to locating the body, they found a male with several lacerations who was transported to an area hospital with injuries that were not life threatening. The Lake County Major Crimes Task Force will assist the Round Lake Beach Police Department with the investigation. An autopsy is expected to be completed on Tuesday.
