Description

Press release from the Borough of Doylestown: 03/01/2022 Doylestown Borough Council is pleased to announce the return of our popular "Pedestrian Zone" outdoor shopping and dining program in 2002. Beginning in mid-April and continuing through October, portions of East State, West State, and Main Streets will close to traffic on Friday and Saturday evenings on a rotating basis, allowing shops and restaurants to expand their operations into the streets. The first 2022 Pedestrian Zone is scheduled for April . A portion of West State Street often referred to as "Restaurant Row" will be transformed that weekend into an outdoor shopping and dining space. The Zones will then rotate between West State, East State and North Main Streets through the Spring, Summer, and into the Fall. The Zones will close to vehicular traffic from 5 pm to 11 pm on Fridays and Saturdays with last seating for dining at 10 pm. Downtown parking is free after 5 pm on Fridays and Saturdays and available at the County Parking Facility at Broad and East Court for a modest fee. Although originally a product of our Operation Doylestown pandemic response, the Pedestrian Zone Program has become a popular staple of Doylestown Borough weekends. We hope that you'll join us in 2022!
