Paws for Purple Hearts is a non-profit organization that trains service dogs for veterans and active duty service members as well as provides Canine Assisted Warrior Therapy programs for military individuals in the San Antonio area and they have openings for volunteer Puppy Parents! Puppy Parenting is a unique opportunity for select volunteers to host a Service Dog in Training in their home. This is a fantastic way to give back to the community by helping to raise a future service dog for a veteran who will one day need it as their battle buddy. As a Puppy Parent, you provide the love and Paws for Purple Hearts provides everything else! If you have questions or would like to learn more by attending their next Puppy Parent Orientation on Saturday, March 5th from 10-11am, please email Erica the Puppy Parent Coordinator, to sign up and she'd be happy to help you!
