Description

CUMMING, GA — As businesses come and go, a local favorite often closes, much to the dismay of the community. We asked readers on Facebook which businesses they wished they could bring back, no matter how long they have been closed. More than 20 comments came in as readers shared names of their favorite businesses of years past. From recently closed businesses to those popular years or decades ago, readers shared a variety of businesses. Some came up time and time again, showing how much the community loved and misses the business. Parsons was the top commented business that readers missed. The store, which was located at 525 Lakeland Plaza, had its main store but also an art gallery and Christmas shop. The store relocated to Cumming in 1948 after being located in Lawrenceville and Duluth. It closed in 2019 after being open for 142 years.
