Press release from the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office: Joni Money March 1, 2022 On Monday, February 28, 2022, Jefferson County Detectives conducted an investigation into a homicide that was reported around 9:30 AM.  The body of a deceased male, who had suffered multiple gunshot wounds, was located in a wooded area off of Oak Ridge Circle in Brighton. After conducting a complete investigation into the homicide, a 17-year-old subject was taken into custody.  He has been charged with murder and has a bond of $75,000.
