Environmentally Focused Nonprofit Voted Among Area’s Top Charitable Organizations Lawrenceville, Ga. – March 1, 2022 – Keep America Beautiful affiliate, Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful (GC&B), has once again been voted Best of Gwinnett in the Charitable Organization category. Spanning more than 20 broad business and community sectors, Best of Gwinnett winners and nominees are chosen by a combination of readers’ votes and editors’ input. Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful was delighted to share this recognition with such highly respected charities as All-In Charitable Events and Services, Inc., American Legion Sugar Hill, Beyond the Ribbon, Good Samaritan Health Centers of Gwinnett, Hope Clinic, Inc. and Spectrum Autism Support Group. Representing the only environmentally focused nonprofit on the list, GC&B has taken its role of Connecting People and Resources for a Sustainable Gwinnett very seriously since its launch in 1980 – amassing a volunteer network that’s 100,000 Gwinnettians strong year after year. The Best of Gwinnett process begins with a nomination on the award program website and concludes when voting ends after 10 months. While it’s not a scientific market research study, readers opinions and their tens of thousands of votes are vetted through several ranking sites, Better Business Bureau complaint reports, and voting pattern analysis reports before those receiving the most votes are deemed “Best of Gwinnett.” In addition to “Best of Gwinnett,” nominees have an opportunity to earn the titles of “Among the Best” and “Ones to Watch.” “We get just as excited now as we did the first time we were recognized as Best of Gwinnett, back in 2018,” said Schelly Marlatt, Executive Director for Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful. “Because it involves the votes of our community members, which says so much about the legacy we’re building as an organization. It means the world to us that Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful is such a valued component of this community we love – impacting everyone from kindergarteners learning how to grow a community garden to seniors wanting to give back to their community with a cleanup event.
