THE UNIVERSITY CLUB OF CHICAGO is a prestigious private membership club located just off Michigan Avenue in the Loop, creating one of the best employment and member environments for private city clubs in the country. We are looking for FULL-TIME Public Room Attendant (PM) who will offer long-term dedication to the Club, someone who is polished, friendly, and upbeat with excellent customer service and communication skills. Essential Job Functions · Responsible for the cleaning and upkeep of all public area restrooms. · Responsible for sweeping, mopping and/or vacuuming of public area floors. · Responsible for sweeping, mopping, and/or vacuuming of stairwells. · Responsible for delivering guest request items · Responsible for dusting all public area spaces including the Library · Responsible for cleaning all glass fixtures/doors located in the public area · Responsible for giving proper directions to public area spaces throughout the club · Responsible for small loads of laundry with occasional ironing and folding of hand towels and rags · Responsible for occasional cleaning of leadership and commercial offices · Responsible for maintaining and occasionally working the coat check area Job Qualifications · Must have high school diploma or equivalent, previous housekeeping experience is a plus · Must be able to stand/lift/bend/walk up to 8hrs a day · Must be able to lift/carry up to 35 lbs. · Must be able to work well both independently and as a team. · Must have schedule flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays · Must be dependable, hardworking, reliable
