Position: 2022 Seasonal Fish Technician

Description:
Douglas Island Pink and Chum, Inc. (DIPAC) is now accepting applications for seasonal Fish Technician positions beginning mid-February of 2022.
The seasonal technician position is an entry-level labor position in which incumbents will assist permanent staff in a variety of fish culture duties. Projects include but are not limited to: feeding fish, cleaning rearing containers, assisting in gamete collection, maintaining incubators, and harvesting adults.
Requirements:
Persons must be physically fit and able to push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds and carry it up to 100 feet repeatedly and be able to work in exposed conditions often in inclement weather. Possession of a valid driver's license with a good driving record is preferred.
Benefit of Being a DIPAC Employee:
- Up to $500 reimbursement in travel expenses to and from Juneau.
- Use of company paid, fully furnished bunkhouse for non-Juneau residents to reside in through
the duration of employment. The bunkhouse has access to city public transportation and is
centrally located in the heart of Lemon Creek.
