Maintenance Technician Job Summary Are you a kind, hardworking and fun personality looking for a flexible, fast paced, part-time job? Can you fix just about anything? I am the owner of multiple small businesses including 4 Vacation Rentals and an Event Floral company and need assistance maintaining all my properties. I have a never ending list of upkeep and fixing that needs to be done in Ocean Beach and El Cajon. BONUS POINTS if you have experience working on RV’s! We have an immediate opening for an experienced Maintenance Technician to service our properties. You will be responsible for facility and grounds upkeep and may work alone or with a crew and the owner. Our ideal candidate has at least one year of experience performing professional maintenance work, is familiar with a variety of building systems and tools, including plumbing, electrical, and heating systems. Shifts may vary, so you must have a flexible schedule. Maintenance Technician Duties and Responsibilities • Check equipment and perform routine maintenance to ensure everything is in working order • Repair malfunctioning equipment units and broken structures • Create new systems and maintain RV's • Respond to tenant repair requests • Perform light landscaping and groundskeeping work as needed • Select and contract specialists on larger maintenance related projects • Advise purchasing manager during new equipment purchases • Purchase tools and supplies needed for each project • Work side by side with the owner on projects • Perform cleaning activities such as dusting, mopping etc., organizing Maintenance Technician Requirements and Qualifications • 1+ years of maintenance experience preferred • RV experience preferred • Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and heating systems • Skilled with a variety of hand and power tools • Must pass a background check • Flexible schedule • Ability to problem solve • Ability to switch projects quickly and respond quickly to unexpected issues that may arrive during the day. • Have a reliable vehicle Details of job: Location: El Cajon and Ocean Beach, lots of driving throughout San Diego for errands Time: 10 to 20 hours a week- schedule will vary Reimbursement: $25 / hour to start and $.60 a mile payment for mileage HOW TO APPLY: ** When you contact me, please send me an email with the subject "Maintenance Technician March" ** - An up-to-date resume - A short written description of yourself and why you think you would be a good fit (A cover letter, or just a brief email is fine) - To let me know you are paying attention and read all the way to the bottom, please also use the word "AVOCADO" anywhere in your email - Please list ALL of the skills you have experience in (out of the ones we listed above) within your cover letter - Because you will be around my home with my family I will be running a background check. -We prefer if you are Vaccinated, but if not at least be as Covid careful as possible and taking care to not get our family sick.
