Join the Marine Operations Team where you’ll get to rotate through many roles including bartender, narrator and deckhand (fancy name for boat crew, don’t worry, we’ll train you on all you need to know). Great for someone who loves a little variety in their life, thrives in a fast-paced environment and is a stickler for safety. Your day-to-day duties include: Making cocktails, sharing fun and unique facts about Seattle with our guests and assisting with docking/undocking the boat.  Essential Job Functions: ·         Step on and off vessels while docking and undocking ·         Tie up and untie vessels during docking and undocking ·         Maintain situational awareness at all times on the boats and on the docks ·         Participate in onboard training and drills including Man-Overboard, Fire, Abandon Ship, and Anchoring ·         Control and maneuver vessels ·         Operate marine VHF radios ·         Relieve the captain for short breaks ·         Lead response to onboard emergencies ·         Conduct deck rounds checking for guest safety and comfort while also ensuring all vessel systems are operating normally ·         Conduct engine room checks to ensure all engine room machinery is operating normally ·         Turn on and make adjustments to vessel PA systems ·         Speak into a microphone for up to 2 hours at a time ·         Deliver live, in person narrations to guests on public cruises ·         Answer guest’s questions about narrations and other sights around the city ·         Take drink orders from guests ·         Prepare and serve cocktails, beer, and wine ·         Accurately ring in orders and process payments using point of sale system ·         Clean and sanitize bar workstation and glassware ·         Prepare garnishes ·         Up stock and rotate stock as needed/directed ·         Use a tray to deliver drinks to guests throughout the vessels and bus tables ·         Wash the exterior of vessels using simple green, scrub brush, and extendable pole ·         Mop excess water off decks ·         Clean interior window ·         Sweep up loose trash on interior and exterior decks ·         Clean and disinfect restrooms onboard the vessels ·         Vacuum carpeted spaces ·         Move onboard furniture ·         Disinfect surfaces ·         Other duties as assigned Job Requirements and Qualifications: ·         High School Diploma or GED ·         Ability to provide excellent customer service ·         Public speaking skills and the ability to address a crowd ·         Attention to detail ·         Ability to work as part of a team Physical Requirements:  ·         Long periods of standing (8+ hours a day) ·         Ability to onboard a moving vessel in all weather conditions for 8+ hours a day ·         Getting on/off moving vessels from/to floating docks ·         Climbing stairs ·         Speaking on a microphone for at least 30 minutes uninterrupted ·         Ability to lift 25 pounds ·         Ability to navigate piers, ramps, floating docks and decks, and clamshell path To apply please visit our website:
