Envianos un correo electronic para mas informacion.] The ideal candidate is someone with long-term interests in local food and brings either leadership experience, a history of owning processes/independent work, or the energy required to learn new skills. Everyone on our 12 person team is involved in our core operational tasks in some way, whether working in the warehouse, loading trucks, packing, inventory, etc. This position would have its primary tasks include packing local grocery orders, taking inventory, delivery packed retail bags to homes, apartments, houseboats, etc. and wholesale orders to restaurants, food access organizations, grocerers, etc. Additionally, our mission is to add someone to our team who can do the operations as well as own and improve a part of our operation. If you're ready to take care of the basics and go above and beyond to learn more, let's hear what you’re interested in what a timeline for learning more would look like Here's what a living wage looks like to us: Starts $20/hr + tips (~$1/hr) + up to $2/hr for performance $300/mo health reimbursement immediately Discounted top quality local food Snacks galore A team-based work culture and a mission-driven company Warehouse Duties ------------------------------------------------------------------- The core responsibility at the warehouse is packing 50+ orders in a day in a walk-in cooler (over the course of 4-5 hours, broken up), setting aside lower quality items, taking an accurate and detailed inventory of products, and keeping the warehouse clean. This position reports and coordinates tasks with the packing and inventory supervisors. You must be able to use and read a scale and do basic math (add, subtract, multiply, divide). You must understand the basic produce quality requirements communicated to them based on several different categories. You must be able to work independently and also as part of a team. Other responsibilities include cleaning and sanitizing the warehouse & prep areas and fulfilling other related duties as assigned. Delivery Driver Duties -------------------------------------------------------------- A driver is directly responsible for delivering to our customers in the Seattle/Bellevue Area. You will be entrusted as the main liaison between our retail and wholesale brands and the customer to ensure that they are served well and all relevant communication is passed along to the right person. You will be expected to deliver up to 65 residential boxes or 7 hours of wholesale deliveries, whether rain, snow, or shine. You are also responsible for ensuring that the product is in pristine shape, delivered to the correct address, and during the correct time window. Additional related duties as assigned. Qualifications Required ----------------------------------------------------------- Basic fruit and veggie knowledge and excitement to learn more! Comfortable working in a cold environment (38 degrees) A valid driver's license Ability to drive a 15-passenger van in all types of weather conditions (e.g. rain, snow, sleet) and a willingness to learn to drive longer vehicles (i.e. 20'-25' vans and box truck) Ability to work standing for 6+ hours Ability to walk, bend, squat, climb, reach, and kneel Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds Cell phone with data plan and understanding of Google Maps Read, writes, and speaks English fluently Preferred Food handler’s safety certification (appx $15 two-hour online course) Familiarity with a warehouse environment Driven for at least 5 years (doesn’t have to be commercial) Produce-handling experience About You ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Highly organized and excellent attention to detail (loves systems!) Excited to be part of a team and invests in relationships at the workplace Excels at working independently and as part of a team Ability to problem-solve and think on your feet (A.K.A. a mental juggler) Energetic and excited about our Mission Schedule ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Both Full Time(35-40 hours) and Part Time (20-30 hours) a week Monday - Friday Full time will likely have 2-3 x 9 hours days and 1-2 less than 8 hour days. Overall, we're a team working to do the hard work to get farmers product where it needs to go and work as a team, including staying late when issues arise, to see the task and mission to completion.
