Canada has more government involvement in your daily life.
Living in Canada is more expensive than you might realize.
-17 degrees average in the winter, no thanks.
Modern amenities are limited to in and around Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal. Anywhere else and you lose modern convenances like internet, electricity or convenient accessible health care.
You can be arrested for speaking your mind or donating to a cause considered unacceptable to the dictator.
Then there is that weak currency and sparce population.
Between 2010 and 2020 the gdp has remained stagnate.
Individual taxes are 7% higher than the U.S.
Corporate taxes are 7.5% higher than the U.S.
I paid off all of my school loans because I kept it at a minimum and worked while going to school and if you punch the right buttons even in the U.S. you can get funding for education through grants.
And no one in the U.S. is denied access to a doctor. Whether you have money or not, there is a program for you.
I guess the question is, are you willing to give up constitutional rights for government health care and free education?
Personally, I am not.
