ST. LOUIS PARK, MN — Per the direction of Gov. Tim Walz, St. Louis Park Public Schools will offer free childcare for parents and guardians who are tier one critical workers. Tier one critical workers are employees who work in the following fields:
Healthcare and public healthLaw enforcement, public safety and first respondersFood and agricultureJudicial BranchNational GuardEducators in pre-K through grade 12 settingsSchool staff caring for children of critical workersChild care and school-age care providersFree child care is provided only during school day hours. Other times require a fee:
Morning Care: 6:30 – 7:45 a.m. (fee applies)School day hours: 7:45 -2:15 p.m. (free for tier one workers)Afternoon Care: 2:15 – 6 p.m. (fee applies)Learn more and register here.
