Petition Circulator Opportunity

Jobs

101 Washington Ave, Grand Haven MI

Description

Looking for someone to gather signatures from registered voters in the Grand Haven and/or Allendale area. This is a contract opportunity on a short-term basis. The job is simple: Go door-to-door asking voters what is important to them, and then asking for them to sign a nominating petition. More training will be provided on Day 1. Hours are from 11 AM to 7 PM on Monday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Daily quota is expected to be 60 signatures per day at an average rate of 1 per 6 minutes; which is very doable because you should be able to finish a days' worth of signatures in as little as 6 hours. Most petitioners can do 480 to 600 in a 7 day week, but this job only requires 240 in a 4 day week. Quota is the minimum valid signatures. Expect some to be invalidated and shoot for more if you can (70 or 80 are suggested). Only whole sheets of 10 are accepted, but partials carry over to the next day. Pay is $15 per hour if quota is met, otherwise, it is $1 per signature. 1099-NEC Non-Employee Compensation. Weekly pay on Thursdays. Fine print: This job requires valid identification, voter registration, and U.S. Citizenship. You will be signing as the petitioner on petitions that will be submitted to a government agency; which will validate signatures. It should be obvious, but fraud will result in criminal prosecution for each instance; so please don't attempt it.
