We are recruiting for multiple part-time year-round Parks Laborers. This position assists in the daily maintenance of parks and facility locations and may include mowing, pruning, blowing, weeding, string trimming, refuge cleanup, graffiti and vandalism mitigation, and restroom cleaning. Minimum Required Qualifications: Education and Experience: *Graduation from high school or GED equivalent. *Must be 18 years of age or older by date of hire. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: *Working knowledge of basic building operation, repairs, equipment used and cleaning buildings. *Basic knowledge of the practices and techniques of landscape maintenance, tree care, and basic landscape construction techniques. *Knowledge of safety practices and procedures for this line of work. *Possession of valid driver's license by date of hire. New employees establishing resident status in the State of Oregon must obtain an Oregon driver's license within 30 days. *Ability to maintain acceptable driving record. *Completion of a background investigation to the satisfaction of the City. Desired Qualifications: *Experience with equipment operation, towing trailers, loading trailers, and general knowledge of home garden equipment. *Demonstrated ability to be punctual, self-motivated and responsive to feedback. *Good communicator with a positive attitude. Available Schedules: *Consecutive days scheduled for 6 or 8 hours a day. *May include weekends. *No split-shifts or evening shifts.
