Job Description: Highly reputable contractor in home & business services is seeking a carpenter helper/assistant to carry out duties as part of a service we provide our clients. This carpenter helper/assistant will be required to have strong customer service & communication skills. A positive attitude is a must. Working independently and as part of a team to help ensure projects are completed timely & correctly is also of utmost importance. Responsibilities: · Arrive on time to assigned project · Review scope of work with lead carpenter & complete assigned tasks · Assist lead carpenter in performing repairs as outlined in the contract · Complete general laborer duties such as job site clean-up, practice proper job site safety, & other tasks to promote an efficient and safe job site · Help to ensure projects come in on time and within budget · Maintain a polite attitude & display a strong sense of customer service Skills: · Exterior carpentry: Siding, soffit, fascia, trim, window sills, door jambs, & other common elements that need repair and/or replaced · Deck repair/replace/rebuilds · Interior carpentry: Stud/framing (metal & wood). Trim/molding replacement & install. Hardware & fixture Installation. · Door & Window replacement · Drywall installation, tape, mud, & painting experience a plus · Minor electrical & plumbing experience a plus · Vinyl & aluminum experience a plus Requirements: · Must have own basic hand tools · Must have authorization to work in U.S · Ability to operate basic carpentry tools with proficiency and maneuver ladders individually (up to 24') · Have a valid driver's license & reliable transportation · Willingness to take drug screen and background check · Work regular hours (Monday-Friday, approximately 8:00 - 5:00 depending on the project) · Occasionally work nights and/or weekends · Be comfortable working with homeowners & facility managers · Willingness to use technology We are also willing to train the right candidates!
