Rehoming 2 year old cat - wonderful animal

Samui is a beautiful, healthy two-year old named after a tropical island in Thailand. I need to re-home her because I am retiring and will be out of the country for significant parts of the year. Samui is a VERY nice cat - polite, clean, well-mannered, and snuggly. She can be quite shy when you first meet her but warms up once she knows you. Raised without much interaction with others because of COVID. She will follow you around the house and meow when she wants to be petted. Samui loves having her back scratched and has an extra-loud purr. She will snuggle beside you, especially at night, but doesn't always want to sit on a lap. She loves to be outside, doesn't seem to stray far, and is a terrific mouser. Samui also loves to 'hang around' you when you are working outside - working in the garden, washing your car, shoveling snow. Sometimes she's a bit like a shadow because she likes to be close to you when you are moving around the house or yard. Loves to play with a laser pointer or stuffed mice on strings. Vacuums and loud noises don't scare her. She is very food motivated and I wonder if this could lead to her learning tricks (I've never tried to do this)? She would love a home where she could go outside and have a companion to hang around. She has been well loved and gotten excellent vet care. I have lots of supplies and food for her as well. No cost to new owner and new potential owner need to be evaluated by the current owner to ensure suitability for the rehoming placement.
