Skier Collides With Police Boat On Lake Minnetonka

LAKE MINNETONKA, MN — A water skier was hospitalized Saturday after he crashed into a police boat on Lake Minnetonka. At about 6:40 a.m., the skier collided with a Hennepin County Sheriff's Water Patrol boat in the Lower Lake, south of Gale Island. The water skier was injured and taken to Hennepin County Medical Center. The deputy was not hurt, according to a news release. The Hennepin County Sheriff's Office has requested the Ramsey County Sheriff's Office investigate the circumstances leading up to this incident.
