Need to re-home cat

I have a cat to re-home: Dandelion (Dandy), age 1.5, super easy /low maintenance! Neutered, litter box trained, indoor/outdoor, good mouser, happy/social, very healthy, up to date on everything, gets along with other cats & dogs. Issue: my kids want a cat who can be dragged around, cuddled, held and pet all the time. He is NOT that kind of cat, despite our best efforts, and it's just not going well with my 3yo. He's a great companion for someone who just wants a cat that enjoys doing his own thing, sitting by you, following you around -- he even follows us on walks and loves climbing trees! He just is not into a ton of affection and doesn't want to be held and picked up. He is very happy/independent outdoors, but he is spoiled at our house and comes in for long stretches to sleep in the sun and be in the warm house during winter. Free to a good home.
