From the City of St. Louis Park: March 11, 2020 Join the City of St. Louis Park in celebrating Arbor Day and observing the 50th anniversary of Earth Day! The celebration will be held on April 25 from 9 a.m. - noon at Westwood Hills Nature Center, 8300 W. Franklin Ave. Come and learn about the impacts of climate change and the actions you can take to help our community reach its climate neutrality goal. Volunteers can choose to plant one of 150 diverse trees with our local partner, Great River Greening, or pick up litter throughout the Westwood Hills Nature Center (all supplies and equipment will be provided). Take a tour of the net zero energy-designed Westwood Hills interpretive center, set to open later this year. Dance and sing to earth-inspired music by Kidpower with Rachael beginning at 9:45 a.m. Refreshments will be provided. The event is free, but registration is required. Register online.
