Hello everyone, I am a mid 20s guitarist looking to jam with likeminded experienced musicians. Some combination of jazz fusion, experimental rock, post punk, prog, post rock, free jazz etc. I am already playing with a folk rock band which is great, but I am looking for something more adventurous and instrumentally challenging to get involved with. Not really looking to do any “genre” in particular, but to get some other people with similar taste and technical proficiency to create something of our own. Looking for keyboards, more guitar and horns mainly. Stuff that is harmonically and rhythmically rich but also getting noisy and chaotic too. I love to improvise but I don’t want to play in a “jam band” or bebop. Music I’m into includes but are not limited to King crimson (and all other 70s prog), John Coltrane, Charles Mingus, Kamasi Washington, thelonious monk, mahavishnu orchestra, can (and other krautrock bands), ornette Coleman, post-punk, miles Davis, sun ra, 60s psychedelic/blues rock, etc. Please text me or send me a message here or on instagram @cameroncriss if you are interested in jamming sometime.
