Job Title: Helper/fitter Location: Gastonia, Charlotte, Kannapolis, Concord, Ansonville, Chesterfield, Salisbury, Harrisburg Duration: 6 month contract to hire Starting Date: ASAP Start time/shift: 8am - 5pm M-F Interview Process: 2 day Interview and Orientation in Mooresville, NC Scope of work: Typical day will be spent repairing/modifying existing water-based sprinkler systems in commercial spaces Prepare sprinkler pipes for installation including: measuring and marking pipes for cutting and threading cutting, threading, and hammering pipe using tools such as pipe threaders doping fittings as needed cutting rods greasing couplings Clean or prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards Read plans, instructions, or specifications to determine work activities Assis the foreman in loading and/or unloading materials, machinery, or tools Lubricate, clean, or repair machinery, equipment, or tools as needed Other duties as assigned Experience: Previous construction experience a plus but not required Background, Drug Screen & Motor Vehicle Report required Tools: Basic hand tools PPE: Basic PPE
