Sweet German Shepard in need of GOOD home!

Winter sadly still needs a new home. She is currently 7-8 years old. She has been with my husband since she was a puppy. My husband and I are both disabled veterans and can’t keep her any longer due to us both having chronic debilitating health problems. Long story short, Winter deserves better than we can give her. We are looking for a semi-active family that will be able to give her the time, attention, exercise, and grooming that we no longer can. She is a super sweet, happy dog that knows sit, stay, come, lay down, go outside, go potty, and kennel. (And possibly a few others I can’t remember at the moment.) She is potty trained, crate trained, and very eager to please her humans. She knows how to use a doggy door and a she is great with kids of all ages. She is not destructive in the least. She does not bark excessively, but just like any other dog, she does like to be heard from time to time especially when she first goes outside. She is good with other dogs, but will definitely stand her ground if challenged. She is an intact female that has never had puppies. We have an XL kennel that we will send with her if you want/need it. We are asking for a rehoming fee of $100 and will require a home check *only* to ensure she does not go to anyone that has ill intentions. - The home check is non negotiable, however the rehoming fee is.
