We have the opportunity you’ve been looking for. Our company has been providing professional land care and maintenance services for more than 25 years. We are currently seeking a full-time Spray Technician in the Birmingham area. As part of our team you will perform chemical/fertilizer applications on cemetery properties. This application will include turf areas, around markers and monuments, ornamental/mulch beds, hardscape and common areas and all other areas as directed. Essential job functions include the following; ● Perform all chemical applications as directed ● Perform routine safety inspections on all spraying equipment ● Maintain chemical storage and mixing areas in compliance with county, state and federal regulations and is responsible for the safety and direction of chemical handlers and/or helpers. ● Know how to operate sprayers and spreaders ● Capable of reading and interpreting labels in English ● Keep MSDS books, logs, reports and all other applicable documentation current ● Manage inventory and usage of applications, pesticides and fertilizers ● Develops and works with assistants for pesticide programs ● Perform other duties as assigned ● Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. ● Ability to work outdoors in extreme conditions (hot/cold) Your position is important to our ability to meet our client’s needs. We are seeking a dependable team member capable of consistently providing positive results in a safe and supportive work environment. The job will operate on a 40 hour/week, flexible shift that may require overtime and/or weekends as necessary. The position is expected to start off earning up to $22/hour depending on experience. Other Qualifications: ● You must have applicable state issued commercial applicators license ● You must have completed training requirements as demanded by the state and federal regulations ● You must have complete knowledge of chemical application equipment ● You must have knowledge in the safe mechanical operation and calibration of the following types of equipment; mechanically pressurized spray equipment, hand operated spray equipment, hand operated rotary and drop spreaders, and utility tractors and/or utility vehicles. ● You must present a positive, professional image ● You must be self-motivated and customer service oriented ● You will need strong interpersonal, as well as written and oral communication skills ● You must be reliable and dependable ● You will be required to pass a drug screen and background check.
