CHASE bank steals $12K, PDX police do nothing

Description

10+ yrs never an overdraft issue etc. Chase let someone steal $12K from my checking using my stolen ID/cards. EVERY OTHER CARD ISSUER has refunded the stolen money except Chase. It has been a MONTH since someone with a felony history of exactly this stole $15K from me/using my cards and info. They are ON CAMERA using the stolen cards and ID while I am ON CAMERA at work. At this point, PDX police has responded IN NO WAY (even with a suspect, video and address). Also, I earn less than $25K/yr as a medical assistant. During COVID. And I do my job ON CAMERA, for the protection of the patients AND myself. I am feeling like this is no longer a genuine "investigation" by Chase, and that they are hoping for a settlement amount. I do not feel I should pay ANY money stolen from me, especially given that I pay to park my money every month in a business that is federally insured in case of theft. ID theft is complicated. It has been amazing to have so much cleared up in a month. HOWEVER, it is the local and state police and my own bank that have failed to respond. At this point, I need to ask if anyone can recommend a lawyer experienced in THIS TYPE OF CASE, and IN THE PORTLAND AREA. I do not need sympathy. I do not need perfect hindsight (but thanks for making us great again). But this is the first time I have dealt with this and need input. Portland Police take almost $300M/yr from OR. Chase charges monthly rates to be responsible in this exact scenario. What is the best way to encourage the bank or police to do their job, and who can be of the most help?
