Full Job Description OVERVIEW: The Facilities Assistant will assist the Facilities Manager with maintenance on all of the facilities managed by Family Promise of Spokane. POSITION DUTIES Perform routine maintenance tasks as assigned, including, but not limited to: Changing Air Filters Inspecting Fire Extinguishers Cleaning Intake Grills, Weed Eating, Snow & Ice Removal Landscaping & Parking Lot Maintenance Pest Control Perform Quarterly Inspections of the Apartment Units Managed by Family Promise. Be flexible in your schedule and when performing jobs. Some jobs may require the Facilities Team to wait or move the workspace at times, which may change your regularly scheduled hours. Be available by phone for on-call emergency maintenance calls overnight. Assist Facilities Manager with larger facilities projects. Completes all tasks while following Family Promise’s Core Values (Non-Judgemental, Respectfully Compassionate, Present, Competent, Empowering, and Good Neighbors) Other tasks as assigned by the Facilities Manager. QUALIFICATIONS - To perform this job successfully, an individual must have: GED or High School diploma, preferred. 1-2 years of general construction experience. Experience in maintenance, groundskeeping, preferred. Ability to lift 50 lbs and occasionally lift over 100 lbs. Following Washington L&I Guidelines. Has a Valid Driver's License and a Clean Driving Record. Has reliable transportation (occasionally you will be asked to drive your own vehicle for jobs). SKILLS - To perform this job successfully, the applicant must demonstrate: Flexibility Ability to Learn New Skills Quickly Good written and verbal communication Critical Thinking - Ability to think through Issues Basic Mechanical Skills, i.e., change air filters, clean AC coils, install locks Basic Lawn Equipment Skills, i.e., how to use, maintain, and repair equipment Job Type: Full-time Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour Benefits: Paid time off Schedule: 8 hour shift Monday to Friday On call Weekend availability Ability to commute/relocate: Spokane, WA: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred) Education: High school or equivalent (Preferred) Experience: Maintenance: 1 year (Required) License/Certification: Driver's License (Preferred) Work Location: Multiple Locations
