Indie/Rock/Punkish Americana band Casanovela is looking for a replacement drummer. We play messy indie rock with power-pop leanings. Looking for a drummer comfortable with playing both in the pocket as well as breaking out and getting weird or taking a bit of the spotlight from time to time. We have one solid gig on the books at a festival in Virginia. It should be fun. We played there last year and it was a blast. Live, we play a messy, but solid set. We have about an hour's worth of material. Kind of a Replacements meets Dead Milkmen vibe. The singer is all over the place but plays energetically. Backing vocals, even just gang shouts are a plus and hoped for. We have a few songs on Spotify and are in the middle of finishing up a second EPs worth of songs. We approach things rather democratically. Stylewise, I think we'd like someone who can play quiet, but also hit hard. Someone who can get rhythmically out there but also tie things up tightly. He has his drum kit, practice and recording space setup pretty well. We generally practice on Wednesdays from 7:30PM 'til 9ish. Looking for folks dedicated to practice, songwriting and sharing social media duties.
