Join Northwestern Mutual Greater Milwaukee's efforts to fight childhood cancer by raising money to support lifesaving research projects. OUR CAUSE Northwestern Mutual proudly supports the Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation. The foundation's tagline is "Fighting childhood cancer, one cup at a time" and that's just what we're doing. If you see a lemonade stand hosted by Northwestern Mutual employees, the money raised is donated to find a cure for childhood cancer. Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) is changing the lives of children with cancer by funding impactful research, raising awareness, supporting families and empowering everyone to help cure childhood cancer. https://www.alexslemonade.org/ OUR EVENT North Hills Country Club in Menomonee Falls, WI is where this wonderful event will take place on June 13, 2022. There are so many ways to help out and make an impact. https://www.nhccwi.com/ THE CHILDREN WE ARE SPONSORING FOR 2022 Lucy Spada: Diagnosed with Ewing's Sarcoma at age 8. Lucy had 14 cycles of intensive chemotherapy and radiation in the year following her diagnosis. Currently 11 years old and in remission. Family started Little Warrior Foundation to raise funds to help other children with Ewing's Sarcoma. They have raised $1 million to date. Taylor Daniels: Diagnosed with Leukemia in December 2021 at age 4. Currently a few months into treatment anticipated to last 2.5 years. Father Erik is a former member of the Northwestern Mutual Greater Milwaukee office and current Northwestern Mutual Home Office employee. Jade Wampole: Jade was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia (ALL) one day before her 4th birthday. She has been undergoing treatments for over two years. She is scheduled to get her port removed on 2/7/2022 and her treatment end date is 3/31/2022.
