Description

This concert features works of composers considered genius by their contemporaries and includes performance by Concerto Competition Winner. Referred to as a “genius melodist”, Alexander Borodin was also “one of the most brilliant Russian scientists of his generation for whom composing was a hobby.” Maurice Ravel was considered the orchestral genius of La Belle Epoch and France’s greatest composer during his lifetime. Another French composer, Saint-Saens, was termed “a child prodigy of the Mozartean genius.” All three of these composers are featured in the Treasure Coast Youth Symphony’s spring concert, GENUIS, scheduled in April. The concerts will highlight the orchestra’s 2021-2022 Concerto Competition Winner, violinist Zahava Misshula, who will perform a select movement from Weiniawski’s Violin Concerto No. 2. Conducting the spring concerts are John Enyart, the youth symphony’s founder, Thomas Servinsky, the Managing Conductor, and Benjamin Enyart.
