City of Parkland & the Montalto Family - Parkland Library Children’s Wing naming in honor Gina Rose. Artist reception to follow. Gina Montalto exemplified the love of life, literacy, art, music, and friendship. She was a loving, bright and bubbly daughter and caring big sister. Gina enjoyed everything that Parkland had to offer, youth sport leagues, great friends, and a close-knit community. Her short life had a huge impact to those she met. Gina loved the Parkland library, its collection of books she found so interesting and the children's programs she attended in her youth. Sadly, she was taken from us in the massacre at our local high school. Gina deserves to be remembered and-cherished forever in our community. Her name in our city's Children's Library is the perfect place that will help keep Gina's light shining as other children read, learn, and expand their minds.
