Music & More is a developmental playgroup for children 12-60 months. Child must be 12 months old on or before playgroup start date. Child must be confidently walking and 12 months on or before first date of playgroup. Registration Required. The dates for this playgroup are as follows, 3/10, 3/17, 3/24, 3/31, 4/7 from 4:00pm to 5:00pm on Thursdays. Music & More is a 5-week developmental playgroup that targets early childhood development through music and other activities. Music boosts language and literacy development, understanding of math concepts, self-expression and motor skills. A facilitator provides experiences including songs, rhymes, storytelling and more. Caregivers will learn activities that help to develop brain connections and social/emotional skills. Child must be 12 months old on or before playgroup start date. Due to the higher risk of negative outcomes in pregnant women from COVID-19, Champions for Children is unable to provide any in-person services to those who are expecting. Our agency continues to closely follow and monitor CDC guidelines in respect to COVID-19. As such, anyone over the age of three is required to wear a mask for our in-person playgroups. Please register each actively participating child separately. We ask that you sign up for only ONE in-person group per session. Playgroups are for the registered child only - siblings who are not yet mobile are able to accompany the registered child, though the infant must stay in a carrier or be worn in an infant wrap for the duration of the playgroup.
