Join geology writer David B. Williams on a walking tour exploring how the Seattle shoreline has shifted across time More so than most cities, Seattle has shaped itself to suit its needs. Seattle has removed hills, filled tide flats, and created a completely new downtown shoreline. Join geologist and writer David B. Williams on a walking tour to explore the last vestiges of the former downtown bluffs, trace the lost island of Seattle, and examine how the subterranean fill still affects the modern landscape. The tour is planned to occur the third Wednesday of each month running March through August. Group size is limited per tour, register here to reserve free tickets. The entire session will be held outdoors, so please dress for the weather.
