“Step Into My Shoes: A Community Conversation”
Experience and learn through an intimate conversation with an immigrant about what it’s like to:Be a refugeeBe undocumentedSeek asylum in the U.S.Be a professional whose training is not accepted in this country.This event will provide facilitated conversation circles. Come and hear first-hand stories about the immigration journey our neighbors have followed to get here. Learn about the many immigration statuses that exist to enter our country- and what they look like in real life.Course materials and a light burrito breakfast will be included. A Certificate of Completion with contact hours will be provided upon request.Cost: $35 per person; $5 discount for ACC staff/faculty/studentsThis unique event will be held in Arapahoe Community College's HALF- MOON Room, an intimate space allowing for facilitated conversations with members of our community.
