Description
Booktopia Returns in Person - A Weekend of Authors, Friends and Books We are thrilled that Booktopia, the intimate two day literary festival where authors and readers meet, can return this year on May 6 & 7, 2022! Booktopia is a two-day weekend and celebration of reading, readers, and authors with multiple authors and attendees from around the country converging on beautiful Manchester, Vermont. Booktopia started as an event in collaboration with Books on the Nightstand, a podcast hosted by Ann Kingman and Michael Kindness, both sales representatives for Random House publishers. Now it continues on the first weekend of May with exclusive author events, presentations, book signings, meet and greets, and a celebratory dinner. Booktopia is all about the attendees meeting authors and discussing their work. Each year eight authors and an industry insider are invited to participate. Authors and guests find Booktopia special because attendees are avid readers who have often read the titles being discussed--so the conversation is rich and insightful. We missed you so much in 2020 and 2021 and are so excited to welcome you back! Among our presenters will be: Craig Popelars, publisher of Tin House Books. Brendan Slocumb, author of The Violin Conspiracy Jane Pek, author of The Verifiers Ben Shattuck, author of Six Walks: In the Footsteps of Henry David Thoreau Hernan Diaz, author of Trust Courtney Maum, author of The Year of the Horses: A Memoir Dalia Azim, author of Country of Origin and more to be announced! Your Booktopia ticket includes a $50 Northshire gift card, access to a full slate of events on Friday and Saturday (each author will present twice, booksellers will share their recent favorites, early access before the store opens, Craig's special publisher presentation, and of course Saturday's BIG EVENT with all authors and a group signing), and a complimentary catered dinner on Friday night at the Inn at Manchester.
