Who will be the Champion of the BEST WINGS IN LOUISIANA when you pit them against each other at the FIRST EVER Wing Wars of Acadiana? Wing Wars Of Acadiana Website Gifting Grace Project, Acadiana’s Homeless Children’s Outreach, will be hosting its inaugural “Wing Wars of Acadiana” Festival on Saturday, May 14, 2022, at Parc International. The purpose of this special event is to enjoy the best chicken wings while bringing awareness to the growing issue of childhood homelessness in our community. The Wing Wars of Acadiana Festival will provide professionals and amateurs the opportunity to showcase their cooking skills, while also bringing the community together to raise funds for our programs. Through this fundraiser, we can continue to show the children living in the most difficult situations that we see them and are working together to love and support them through our outreach. This current school year, Lafayette Parish has over 1100 students enrolled in their Homeless Education Department. Year after year, Lafayette Parish ranks in the top two parishes in Louisiana for childhood homelessness. In our first year of operation, 2021, Gifting Grace Project was able to provide over 2000 children throughout five parishes with Christmas gifts, backpacks filled with school supplies, duffel bags filled with hygiene products, jackets, socks and more. All of this is made possible through partnerships with local businesses and individuals in Acadiana like you. Though we’ve just started, we have big goals to help these children, however we cannot do it alone. The mission at Gifting Grace Project is to freely love, serve and support the homeless and indigent children of Acadiana. All products and services provided by Gifting Grace Project are free of charge to the children and their families.
