Eyla’s PILATES CLASS TESTIMONIALS: Shelita: “Eyla, i just want to let you know how much I appreciate you and your passion for movement and dance . For over a year I have felt stuck with a bum knee after my surgery. I was sad and frustrated because I couldn’t dance the way I use to. Your classes have transformed me! I’m stronger, more flexible and feel I’ve turned the corner. My knees were worn from years of ballet, skating and running. Thank you . Just know you have my utmost gratitude and deep respect” Mina: “Eyla you have been key in healing and health, spirituality and growth, by offering a space to build community and strengthen our bodies. YOU make a difference in the lives of manyGratitude my friend” Adrienne: “Eyla, you class is AMAZING. I CONSISTENTLY struggle with CONSISTENCY and I am so proud of myself for sticking with your class. I've long dreamed of being a dancer so this lets me live out the fantasy AND feel like I'm creating the pilates body I've also long dreamed of having. You are a part of the time I spend every day prioritizing ME and I really love you for that. I don't know how much you charged for your classes pre-covid so I wasn't sure what was a fair "donation", but your classes are worth every penny. ” K*STAR*PRODUCTIONS has put the following in place preventative measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19 as we move indoors: All employees entering our buildings will be tested for COVID-19 twice a week All visitors entering our buildings must present a negative COVID-19 exam result from the past 72 hours. KKDE’s artistic mission is to bridge diverse cultures and communities through thought-provoking performances that address the common human experiences of its audience. The Company represents a range of ages and body-types and incorporates a variety of dance styles to inform audiences about a variety of sociocultural issues. The choreography is largely influenced by the Barnes’ existence as an African American woman, but also builds upon a wide array of dance genres, including fusing modern dance with movement from African, Brazilian, and North Indian cultures. Performing socially conscious works like In The Meantime, a dance-drama about breast cancer prevention and awareness as well as ANGST: 3 AM an intimate look at anxiety in and among African American boys, during their self-identity formation, and how it affects the relationships within their families and the community (both in creative collaboration with Delina Patrice Brooks) validate that collective witnessing spawns healing catharsis.
