We will ride bikes and visit 4 gardens to learn about their contributions and impact in their community through the garden. Welcome to the first Community Garden Ride with Ghisallo Cycling Initiative and Gardopia Gardens. This ride will be part of a full day of Earth Day festivities at Gardopia Gardens, which include a morning Garden Volunteer Day, Community Garden Ride, and afternoon Market Day. The ride will begin with an introduction to Gardopia Gardens and Ghisallo Cycling Initiative. This ride will be roughly 12 miles and we'll stop at each garden for about 15-20 mins to hydrate, take a break and learn about each community garden. The ride will begin and end at Gardopia Gardens. The gardens are: Gardopia GardensGarcia Urban FarmMahncke Community GardenRiver Road Community GardenPlease arrive early. Parking will be available in the empty lot across from Gardopia Garden and along the residential streets. Bring your own water bottle. Helmets required for the ride. Make sure your bike is ride ready by performing the ACBD Quick Check. We will have on-ride support for minor repairs, flats, emergency needs. After the ride stay and hang out at Gardopia Garden Market Day, where vendors will be setup and selling their goods.
