In/VISIBLE, Un/HEARD: Riverside’s Civil Rights Stories In/VISIBLE, Un/HEARD: Riverside’s Civil Rights Stories Featuring some of Riverside’s historic civil rights stories and sites, the inVISIBLE/unHEARD project focuses on the journey from invisibility to visibility for those who have suffered racism and other forms of discrimination. inVISIBLE/unHEARD represents Riverside’s part in a global conversation that is critical for all of us. This dramatic history tour includes Harada House, Casa Blanca, the Eastside’s Second Birth Church, and the Center for Social Justice and Civil Liberties. Appropriate for ages 10 and up and participation is free. Please see the link below for the tour itinerary and driving directions. Special thanks to the organizing partners: Center for Social Justice and Civil Liberties, City of Riverside, Empower You Edutainment, Inlandia Institute, Museum of Riverside, and Spanish Town Heritage Foundation. The Fox Riverside Theater Foundation is a tiny nonprofit with a BIG mission: to bring the arts to under-served communities in our local region - with a special focus on inspiring and supporting local students of all ages in pursuing careers both on stage and behind the scenes. We enrich the lives of those who we serve through community-focused performances, outreach, and fundraising activities. Governed by a stellar Board of Directors, our mission comes to life through our amazing, interactive programs, such as Students at the Fox, Seniors at the Fox, behind-the-scenes tours, and Live Tech, a program to teach theater technology to high school students, using the Fox Performing Arts Center as the learning lab and Live Nation (theater operator) professionals as instructors.
