A Happy Death: Monastic Wisdom for the End of Life
For 1500 years, Benedictine monks have been practicing the art of living well and dying well: their stories and example have much to teach us today.
The Benedictine monks of Chicago invite you to a morning of spiritual wisdom and practical counsel.
Topics will include the Catholic Church's teachings on the dignity of the human person, suffering and death, funerals, and burial.
Free and open to all, but registration is required.
The Monastery of the Holy Cross is a community of contemplative Benedictine monks in the City of Chicago that lives by the ancient Rule of St. Benedict, seeking God through a life of prayer, silence, work, and hospitality.
