Join us this Wednesday, 3.2.2022, as we take a meditational Journey of Faith and Reflection. Ash Wednesday is the first day of Lent. The “Day of Ashes,” is the practice of rubbing ashes on one’s forehead in the sign of a cross. For many Christian denominations, Ash Wednesday is a day of both fasting and repentance. Join us this Wednesday, 3.2.2022, as we take a meditational Journey of Faith and Reflection. The Sanctuary will be open from 9 am to 1 pm and again from 6:30 pm to7:30 pm Pastor Elizabeth explains how First Congregational Church of Bakersfield will be observing Ash Wednesday Who We Are We are an open-minded faith community that welcomes people of every age, race, gender identity, nationality, ethnicity, and sexual orientation.
