Become Familiar with The Spectrum of End-of-Life Experiences (SELE)
This workshop will introduce participants to the Spectrum of End-of-Life Experiences (SELE), which is a comprehensive, descriptive list of the different types of end-of-life experiences reported by dying patients as well as their caregivers and loved ones. Participants will learn that SELE is a valuable addition to death education with various applications, including use as a prognostic aid in end-of-life care and as a therapeutic aid for bereavement support. Following a lecture featuring video excerpts of case studies and a Q & A session, participants will have the opportunity to reflect upon and discuss (in both small groups and as one community) whether they or others they know have had any of these end-of-life experiences and what impact these experiences have had.
This workshop does not include any kind of certification.
