CHICAGO — The FBI released images of an unidentified gunman seen firing a rifle on the Metra train platform at McCormick Place last week, asking the public for help identifying him. Around 10 a.m. on Dec. 1, a man with a closely cropped beard and receding hairline walked into the commuter rail station carrying a backpack. Video from security cameras shows the man watch a train depart before walking to the bottom of a stairwell and placing his backpack on the ground. The man pulls out a collapsible rifle with an attached flashlight and scope. He loads a single bullet into it and fires a shot out over the tracks before collapsing it and placing it back into his bag. The gunman was described as 5 feet, 8 inches with a slender build. He should be considered armed and dangerous, although there were no known injuries associated with the incident, according to the FBI. A still from a security video shows a man who fired a rifle at the McCormick Place Metra station on Dec. 1, according to the FBI. (FBI) UPDATE: Suspect In Metra Shooting Turns Himself In, FBI Says
