Join us and spend time with fellow grads to check-in on each other, get some new ideas for your class, and reconnect to your KCTR Community. Please join us for the first installment of our series of networking and development. When registering, please be sure to select your top collaboration spaces. These groups are based around different identity markers and teaching contexts. For any questions involving programming, ask Melissa ([email protected]). ** Masks will be required for the event.** Choice Sessions: Deepening Parent/Family Relationships: LaToya Valerio If you're looking to move to the next level with your parent and family relationships, this is the session for you! LaToya Valerio is a veteran teacher who served many years in KCPS and is an expert in building strong and meaningful relationships with families. You'll spend time learning about how to move beyond the newsletter and regular calls home, including how to break down academic data for families and make the best use of parent teacher conferences. Restorative Justice Practices in the Classroom: Reggy Berry and Sarah Eblen Join KCPS's Senior Restorative Justice Coordinators for a jam-packed session on bringing Restorative Justice into your classroom. You'll walk away with multiple strategies that you can implement immediately within your classroom community. If you've been looking to move beyond traditional discipline-based management systems, this session will push your practice.
