An introductory class on the basics of fly fishing in the Centre region of PA. There are three class meetings, Saturdays, March 12, 19, 26. In this course you will be able to: 1. Describe how fly fishing is different from other types of fishing 2. Identify where to fish in the Centre region 3. Tie a common clinch knot and several others 4. Identify a brook, brown and rainbow trout 5. Describe some of the equipment necessary for fly fishing 6. Identify stream etiquette and how to handle fish safely 7. Recognize some of the common insects in our streams and identify the flies that imitate them.
