Press release from the Town of Wakefield: February 24, 2022 Trash and recycling collection is delayed a day due to the double challenge of a storm during a holiday week. On Monday, Feb. 28, the collection will be for those who are typically a Friday route (pushed to Saturday due to the Presidents' Day holiday… and again delayed due to the snowstorm). Tuesday, March 1, will be the Monday-route collection. Wednesday will be the Tuesday-route collection, and so on. Friday, February 25: no collection Saturday, February 26: Thursday's route (pushed to Friday per the holiday schedule) picked up Monday, February 28: Friday's route picked up Tuesday, March 1: Monday's route picked up Wednesday, March 2: Tuesday's route picked up Thursday. March 3: Wednesday's route picked Friday. March 4: Thursday's route picked up Saturday.
